Lending Department

Member Business Lender:

WCCU is currently seeking an experienced Member Business Lender.  Preferred applicants will have agricultural and business experience.  This is a wonderful opportunity for a seasoned business lender who has a desire to provide “WOW” service to our members. Solicit, analyze, and coordinate credit to members while also maintaining knowledge of other products & services beneficial to members.

Lending and previous financial institution experience preferred; willing to train the right team oriented applicant with good people skills, a can-do attitude, and a desire to provide our members with exceptional, personalized service.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. .
• Knowledge of the consumer, commercial, agricultural loan policies, credit granting criteria, interest rates and how they are computed, and required documentation for each type of loan needed. Knowledge of interviewing skills and techniques required
• Three years experience in a lending department.  Experience in interviewing preferred.  Professional sales experience beneficial.

Operations Department

Overdraft Specialist:

The Overdraft Specialist is primarily responsible for review and management of accounts that go into overdraft within established overdraft limits. This position will direct and manage the collection of outstanding overdraft amounts up to a specific time frame and will manage the placement into and removal from the overdraft privilege program within Westby Co-op Credit Union’s (WCCU) guidelines.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
• At least 2 years of experience working in an industry focused on providing exceptional member service required.  Overdraft processing experience preferred.
• Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills essential for projecting a positive image as a representative of the Credit Union.
• Ability to work with a wide range of personalities in a courteous, effective and efficient manner.

Member Service Department

Member Relations Specialist:

Serve as the primary contact of our credit union performing transactions based on member requests related to their daily financial needs, as well as loan account financial needs. Perform a wide variety of duties related to deposit accounts, as well as coordination of loans and credit to our members.

Duties and Responsibilities related to Deposit Accounts: handle currency, basic deposits & withdrawals, payments and cash advances. Open all types of accounts for individuals and entities interested in becoming a WCCU member. Identify and recommend products and services based on member needs.

Duties and Responsibilities related to Consumer Lending: meet with members to begin the loan process to gather background information and loan applicants. Expedite the loan request with a Consumer Loan Officer and explain decision to members and outline terms, fees, and conditions of the loan.

Willing to train candidates with a can-do attitude & exceptional member service skills.

This is a full-time position with a complete benefit package. Seeking to hire two candidates for our Prairie du Sac branch.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
• Previous financial and cash handling experience desired. Prefer candidates with knowledge of consumer loan policies, credit granting criteria, interest rates & how they are computed, and required documentation.
• Knowledge of interviewing skills/techniques along with financial post-secondary education preferred. Sales experience helpful.
• Demonstrate excellent communications skills and work in a courteous, respectful and efficient manner.

Member Service Representatives (Tellers):

Serve as the primary contact of our credit union performing transactions based on member requests related to their daily financial needs. MSRs perform a wide variety of duties related to all phases of products & services in a fast paced, efficient environment. This includes, but is not limited to, handling currency, deposits, withdrawals and payments, issuance of negotiable instruments and cash advances.

Willing to train candidates with a can-do attitude & exceptional member service skills.

There are part and full-time opportunities of a variety of hours available at all current WCCU Branch Locations: Baraboo, Cashton, Coon Valley, Lake Delton, Prairie du Sac, Reedsburg, Richland Center, Viroqua, Westby.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities Required:
• Adhere to all balancing, cash, check-cashing and related policies or procedures.
• Maintain the integrity of our confidentiality policy at all times and properly enter information into the computer program(s).
• Demonstrate a helpful, polite, friendly attitude along with providing excellent member service in a fast-paced and growing work environment.
